Hi guys,

I am fairly new to BOO, bought a Bravo in June, and already I have received some good advice so thanks to all.
I know there must be people from all walks of life on here so wondered if anyone had considered coming up with a list of peoples professions and locations, one as a way to gain business, but also some people may be interested in bartering. For example, if I needed my brakes replacing I'm sure there is someone on here that could do it for me just as well as any garage, but instead of paying cash I could trade services. I happen to be an accountant, and I'm sure there must be some self-employed people here who need tax returns doing.
Just a thought, thanks for reading!

I think that is a good idea, I know nothing about cars but would love to have my Bravo in good nick, I do insurance/Mortgages and that kind of stuff and could do a deal for discounts or give general free advice in exchange

Hey ant, where abouts are you? I have a sky minidish and sky plus box, but only one feed from the dish. I can get a quad lnb for about £15 but i can't reach the dish and i would also then need cable to go round the outside of the house. Is this something you can do?

craig

im in wigan , if your far away, tell me how much cable you need and ill gladly make it up for you, with the ends on for you to connect it up and ill give you some tacks to tack the cable ,

no problem mate , just let me know

also forgot to mention if you use the quad lnb you wll need a seperate sky box in each room, you could always use a magic eye which connects to the back of the box and in another rooms/tv which allows you to change channel in the other room,

then there is the old way of rf'ing it , little technical but you can feed every room this way, im only at the end of the phone if you need any advice

I'm in Chelmsford Essex, so about 200 miles! I'll measure up and let you know, I'd really appreciate that, putting the connectors on is such a fiddly job but probably only takes you a few seconds. I have a spare box anyway to go upstairs so that's no problem.

yeah it is, takes a few seconds but like you say we have special tools, soon as you have measured how much you need ill do them for you mate,

try this link for your quad lnb

cheers ant
