Hi,

When I bought my GP it was pulling harshly to the right so I took it straight to a garage for the tracking and wheel balancing to be done.

£25 later my car no longer pulls to the right.... Instead it pulls to the left.

I've checked the tyre pressures and wear and they seem fine.

I spoke to the guys who did my tracking and they said my front passenger side alloy is slightly buckled which is why it is pulling and refused to do the tracking again without charging me.

In your opinion would a slightly buckled alloy alone cause a harsh pull?

No I haven't. To be honest, outside of the basics in maintenance I'm not very mechanically knowledgeable. There's no vibration or anything. How would I test for binding brakes? Thank you for your help

Jack up each corner of the car and try to turn the wheel by hand with the handbrake off in case if the rear wheels and the car in gear it should turn quite freely

Another way to check is to feel the brake discs/drums after a short drive see if one is much hotter then any of the other ones

Difference in tyre pressure or even tyre SIZE (seen that !!) or wear can caus ethe car to plull on one side ...

BRs, Bernie

If someone here helped You fix -or better, understand- your issue, hit the thanks icon @ bottom right corner, it's free and makes us feel helpy ;-)

Try swapping the front wheels around and then road test to see if the problem is worse or disappears or moves to the other side?
You would be best putting a slightly the buckled wheel on the rear to minimize any vibrations / pulling etc.

Thanks for all of your advice chaps. Ill give it a go as soon as I find time.
