General Towing a 1989 panda

Tomorrow morning I'm towing home my panda I bought today! But it's just dawned on me... Does the panda actually have a tow eye on the front? If not how's the best way to connect the tow rope?

They don't have a towing eye. I think most people just put a rope round one of the tie rods.

Hi there,

Yeah I don't think towing eyes were ever fitted to the classic pandas (sold in this country at least). When I have towed in the past, I have used the front suspension mounting bracket. This is a diagonal bracket on the corner at the front which the tie rod fits into. Should be plenty strong but of course still be careful

Or if it is the 4x4 then could use the sump guard frame.

Yeah it's the White one.
As you can tell I have probably had too much Shiraz, otherwise known in Panda circles as 4x4 diff oil
