Has anyone got a recomendation for where i can get a towbar kit from?

Also any hints or tips on the wiring??

Picking up car on Wednesday :) first job is to fit a towbar, closely followed by a dvd player and roof screen for kids  busy weekend ahead :D

Thanks in advance

I had a towbar with 7 pin electrics fitted by Towequipe (www.towequipe.co.uk) for £149. The towbar itself cost £100, took a couple of hours, top job.

Don't bother with a DVD player, buy handheld ones as you can use them anywhere and the kids don't argue about what to watch.

If you google 'Nextbase DVD' these are pretty good, can be mounted on the headrests and come with car chargers etc. £129 each with free wireless transmitters to put the sound through the stereo.

I should be on commission!!

Thanks for your quick reply!

looked at the DVD player, looks good (do i get commission too??!), but i already have one from my previous MPV.

Have ordered a Towbar from Dixon Bate (via ebay) £62.00 delivered, with twin electrics from Towsure (£34.00) and will post when fitted, to advise if it was a bargain or not!

Picked up car today from Fleet Sales in Blaby, first impressions very pleased, did just over 40mpg on way home feels much more stable/safer than our previous Toyota Estima.

Now its stopped raining.....

had the chance to fit the Towbar and Electrics, haved to say was quite easy,

Both items were delivered promptly, the bar arrived the next day and electrics a couple of days later!.

The Dixon Bate bracket lined up perfectly, as it was the commercial version it had x2 extra bolt points and i had to open out x2 existing holes in the chassis to accept the sleeved mounting bolts, i removed the complete rear bumper including the steel frame to fit, i think i could have got away with just removing the plastic outer section, the cut-out required in the bumper plastic was already clearly marked.

The electrics, were a little time consuming, but using the Towsure full bypass kit and following their instructions, it was a resonably straightforward job.

Now just need some good weather to try its towing ability!.
