Hi all.

I have a '07 ducato that's done a few K's and there is some noise that seems to be coming from the leaf spring bushes. I put some silicon spray on it but it sounds worse now. I have found some motorhome posts that say it can be caused by corrosion on the assembly running through the rear bushes preventing it from turning properly. I am going to take one apart and inspect it, clean and regrease it.

I'd like to know if anyone on this forum has had a similar problems?

Does anyone know what the torque settings are for the rear suspension bolts? I assume its in the service manual / CD?

Thanks

Yeah I've had this squeak/creak problem. Think it was me that posted the pics on the motorhome forums in fact.

Bolt at front of leaf spring 185nm (shouldn't need touching).
Both bolts at rear of spring 145nm

Hi thanks for the confirmation. One other question, what lubricant did you use on the bolt/axle? Silicone paste or spray, graphite, something else?

A quick update for others who might have this problem.

I took apart the rear bushes which were indeed seized up due to surface rust which made them difficult to remove from the vehicle. They could not be pushed out and I had to jury rig a press. Removing the rust was simple though and after lubing it I put it back together and the squeak was still there.

Next step was to separate the leaf springs and lube the contact points at each end.

And then there was silence. Hurrah.

My old 57 plate van failed its mot on worn out bushes, fiat don't sell the bushes just complete springs.

We found (too late as springs were ordered) a place in wembley, sorry cannot remember their name, they said the bushes are Exactly tge same as Iveco daily, and did a same day fit, the iveco ones seem readily available online and probably most major parts suppliers
