I was looking to upgrade the standard wheels on my 1.6 Dynamic, 5 dr 52 plate to alloys.

However having recently become a proud father of baby boy, the cost of getting alloys has gone out of the window.

i've currently got a 04 plate 1.9 JTD Stilo as a courtesy car, while mine's been in at the dealer for various faults (nearly 4 weeks with them to sort them all out).

I noticed that the plastic wheel trims on the 04 JTD are different to the former un-revised models, and actually look better.

I was looking to get a set like these, but is there any other trims from fiat (ie other fiat models) that look good and fit Stilo sized wheels.

Don't really want to go somewhere like Halfords. As it would be nice to have something with the Fiat badge in the middle.

Trouble is, you'll pay quite a lot for what is really just a bit of plastic tat, if I were you, I'd keep my cash, save a bit and keep an eye out for second hand alloys, or wait for when you need tyres, as you may be able to get a good deal on a wheel & tyre package which makes them more affordable.

Cheers for the advice, have to keep an eye out on e-bay.

Although just picked my own car back up on Saturday from Thames Motors in Slough, after the vehicle being with them for over 3 weeks, with various faults. Guess what it's gone wrong again today.

It's the final straw after all what's gone wrong with it since buying it in January this year. I've starting to loose count the number of times it's been in the garage and time lost.

I'm going to ask for a vehicle exchange or say goodbye to Stilo ownership, which is a shame as I really do like the car.

Maybe you could suggest they do you a preferential deal on a new car (which has alloys;)) as a good will gesture?

From what I hear on here it seems a few people are just unlucky ending up with poor cars:(

There is a set of 15"s on ebay if you search on Stilo, i'll even let you outbid me if your quick! Seeing as i'm going to be skint if i win this Spitfire i've bid on! [:0]

53 plate, Stilo 3-door, Sassy grey, Alloys to follow, 1.2 Active, 5-Disc CD-Changer -- 45mpg!

Go on someone out bid me on the wheels! please! ;) Just over an hour, only need to outbid me by £2, only £124.1p for a shiney set of alloys!

I'm gonna be £400 out of pocket on 30 year old motor!

well, did ya get them then? :D
I saw them earlier last week but resisted, they would only end up getting curbed with my mums driving.

Alloys I got for my Brava off ebay cost me £119 inc delivery, and just as an addid bonus, unsold, brandnew condition showroom surplus stock, bargin! they where £438 in the brio catalogue

Bozzy, nice set on e-bay, although I think I'll leave the alloys, until I have a car that's actually reliable enough to put a set on.

Already started to get the the dealership fob off, from a Thames Fiat 'Nobody'. The Manager's back next week, when I'll be taking the gloves off fully.

Maybe something to follow on as a separate topic.

Nah i never won, some nice chappy outbid me by £2! Ordinarily i'd be really pee'd off, but seeing as i'd just won a £400 bid on a Triumph Spitfire i was quiet relieved! :I

Should have my 3rd car on the drive early next week, along with the wifes car! B) I tell you i'll go mad if another family member says but you can only drive one at a time!

Yes i can only drive one at a time, Stilo for weekdays, Mini for weekend blasting (mini shows/runs), Spitfire for sunny days/holidays! See i've got it all covered!

so whats the wifes car then?
you must have one hell of a road tax and insurence bill ;)
Also seems to have been a classic car rally around here today, saw a collection of old MGA,B's austin healys at the windygates roundabout
