I have taken delivery of my 1961 Fiat 500. In general, I am happy with the car, but the front wheels seem to be tipped in too far. What do you guys think?
It does seem excessive to me, on a smooth road when cornering do the tyres squeal on cornering, not just on your painted concrete garage?
Just a thought, when looking side on does the car look low at the rear?
If the rear is low it has the affect of making the front wheels tuck in.
Has the car been used enough on those tyres to show excessive wear on the outside edge of the tread?
This car is so new to me that I have not even seen it in person. The car was delivered to a friend of mine while I was out of town. He has been kind enough to garage it and send me some pictures. I won't be able to answer many questions till I get home.

As I said at #2, if low at back it has the affect of raising the front causing front suspension/wheels to tuck in.
So if rear springs old /soft that may be the reason.
There are several Forum members who have specific knowledge of classic 500s and can give you measurements etc. Plus other advice.
A full fuel tank will only add the weight of 4-1/2 UK gallons to the front of the car. A sideways picture of the car would help as it will show the ride-height at both ends.

According to the "Factory" w/shop manual, there should be 1 deg +/- 20 minutes of POSITIVE front wheel camber with the weight of "an orderly load of 4 passengers" in the car . Quite how you define "an orderly passenger" I have yet to discover! When the workshop manual was written, I expect the average weight of a person was about 12 stone, which would equate to 48 stone, or 670lbs for our transatlantic colleagues. So my advice "twright", is to fill your car with people and see how it comes out , before trying to cure a problem that doesn't exist
