Technical Tipo Hubs??

Just try a few until you find one that fits. A six sided socket that grips across the flats is best. You may find it needs cutting down on a lathe to fit inside the hub.

It will be a 32mm socket. Iam sure though that 2 sizes were fitted over the model's life. Early ones are 32mm though.

oh thats ok mate ive got the right one now...:)
BUT there is more of a problem the nut has threaded on the driveshaft,
wont tighten or undo.... B******s!!!
any ideas....??
The nearside is a left handed thread and they are very very tight.
You could very carefully heat it up with a blow torch or you need to crack it off and buy a new nut.
I use a Strong arm and a 5 ft pole for undoing. They usually budge!!

Thread has gone and Rich is right, you will need a new Driveshaft. Sorry for the news.

Andy.

Can you split the nut with a chisel? If its the nut's thread which is knackered, then quite possibly you can use the shaft. You can by a special file to restore the thread, but it will only work on slightly rough thread. Buy 2 Nuts and use one with liberal amounts of oil to recut the thread. Turn it up and down the thread several times until it goes on easy. Sometimes it works. Good luck.

rich you was right about new shaft , :bang: , , took hub off and belted the driveshaft with a big hammer, The nut fell off, as did all the driveshaft threads. nice!!!
so went to see my mate steve (x-19 files), and got a bravo driveshaft,,
seperated the cv as the rest is useless,, made one good one outta the two , Got new hub nut too....""George"" is mobile again....
cheers for you ideas and help guys much appreciated...
