Technical Tipo Dies

1990 Tipo 1.6, driving along all good then for no reason car dies, lights out, everything is dead, will crank but not fire. Leave it on the side of the road for an hour maybe 2 then she sparks back into life again, any ideas?

try the basics first. spark plugs ht leads dizzy cap +rotor arm then check coil.
