i thought the automatic was only ever built as a 1.6 ???

No 2.0 8v was available as an automatic in the uk. The only auto was the 1.6 selecta, which wasn't all that popular.

If you mean you want an automobile manual for the 2.0 8v, then the haynes one does not cover that, but the Porter manual does I think, but not in much depth. Maybe a Fiat garage manual may help. Sometimes these appear on ebay. I have such a thing but its a very early one which does not cover that car.
