timeout for codes?

hey is there a time if you disconnect the battery before you have to re-enter the code on the general factory fitted fiat stereos?

Some modern car radio codes are stored in the car's body computer so would not be lost when the battery is disconnected.

For cars without this system, the code would be lost instantly when the battery is disconnected.

so would you happen to know what would happen on A mark 2 punto 02 and an 02 reg stilo i dont wanna try it and test fate as i have no codes for either of them?

The Stilo code will be stored by the body computer. I don't know about the Punto one.

Providing the Stilo isn't fitted with a Connect Nav unit, I can get the codes for you if you post all the numbers from the back and sides of the radios on this thread:

right thanks ill post on that if i ever need the code (touch wood) but i'm okay for now thanks as "they" say to me especially if it aint broke dont touch it

If it ain't broke, pull it apart anyway to see how it's supposed to be if ever it does break.
