As above..

The B has been hibernating in our spare industrial unit over the winter.. it's been possibly a little chilly as the warehouse is unheated, but apart from that it shouldn't have been troubled apart from the occasional spider crawling over it.

I forgot to disconnect the battery, which is now is deep discharge so I'll have to shell out for a new one, and one front tyre has gone flat - I hope reinflation will sort that out.

Other than the above, I hope it will just be a case of re-taxing it, dropping the top and driving it down to the filling station for a splash of fuel. Roll on April 1.. :)

Cheers,

I put it away at the end of September when the tax ran out. I've been over to the unit today, very tempted to pump up the flat tyre and spark it up as it's been a beautiful day. My attempt at recharging the battery appears to have been at least partially successful, so fingers crossed on that front.

I've seen a number of convertibles around and about over the last few days with the lid down, obviously I'm not alone. But I'm going to wait until April 1, as there's no way I'm paying a month's tax for a week's usage. Cue the deluge over Easter weekend..

Cheers,

my barchetta came out today after 5 months rest, 1 new battery and it started 1 st time (only for a few seconds as i wanted the oil to get around)
one small problem when start the car it fires up first time but the start motor
seems to still be working for may be 1-2seconds after i have released the key and the enginge is running has anyone got answer
ps i been away because of the trully awfull weather here in southern spain
the worse it been for over 60 year but the last few days thr sun out at long last

By "still working" do you mean it squeals after the key has been turned back and the engine has fired? Mine does this if I leave it a few days without starting it. It requires lubrication but, according to friends on here, can be a bit of problem to remove. If I have misread your problem, I am sure that there will be someone on here with a solution. Hope it's sorted soon.
