Do you know how much Veg Rardy charge for an oil and filter change for a 145 Cloverleaf?

I thought maybe £45, seeing as they're a franchised dealer and bearing in mind that "Rapid Fit" charge £30 for fully synthetic oil.

Imagine my horror to hear their charge......£125!!!!!!!!!

£125 for an oil and filter change, seeing as it involves an hour's labour - I have heard it all now!!! Why an hour - does the "technician" pour the oil with a thimble??????

They are without doubt the greadiest shysters that I have had the misfortune to deal with during my ownership of Fiat/Alfa.

Does anyone else have a more extortionate quote for a trivial job?

Give Desira a call, I'm sure they are up there.

They wanted £320 to change a radiator and do an MOT on the g/f's Seicento. That price also included 50% off the MOT price (£20 instead of £40)BIG WOW !
Luckily, my brother is a FIAT mechanic at Desira and told me where they got the rad's from (Serck Marston Intertruck) so I called them and they quoted me £60 for it. Fluids were about £15 and I slipped my brother £30 for doing the job. So, doing the maths, Desira seem to be charging nearly £100 an hour labour !! And my brother's wage certainly doesn't reflect that !

Maybe Veg/"Un"Desira"ble" is charging more because more of us are aware of the sheisters and avoid using them and their profits are down ? ;)

The moral of these stories is to avoid Main Dealers like the plague, as I'm sure we all know anyway :)

Fiat tried to charge me 50pounds for a 2minute fault code check on the HGT.

Told them i wouldnt pay that in my nasty voice and they went and did it free. 2 minutes later they come back and say its a crapped cam phase sensor and i need 1200 pounds to change it...apparantly engine out ;)

Feeling skeptical i said my goodbyes and took it to a mechanic to check over all wiring looms. Turns out a wire in one of the ECU looms that connects to the cam phase sensor had disconnected itself.

Do not trust Fiat with your Fiat.

Do not trust a Fiat per se!

Lovelly machins that they are, I have just had one horrible experience with a 145.
