First thing that strikes me is it's VERY cheap, so I'd be wary. Have a look here

The cambelt will need doing again soon I would have thought as a precautionary measure. Check the Rad is not rotten, if it's not been replaced then it will be. Ask the owner how much oil she uses, if he/she doesnt know, then walk away. Check the oil, if it's under, again walk away.
Enquire when the wishbones were last changed, they need doing every 2 years at least. If they haven't been done for years, this could point to a neglectul owner. Still check for smoke when idling or when gunning it, just to make sure that it's had a new turbo ;)
Could be a bargain, just read and re-read the guides above. Don't just go and buy it because it's cheap: there's rarely such thing as a bargain coupe. one that needs work could swallow up what you paid for it easy!
Keep in mind they are NOT cheap to run, and certainly nowhere near as inexpensive as a Bravo. I've seen quite a few folks buy a cheap coupe and then have to sell on once they realise the running costs. Other than that tho, Good luck and hope she's a bargain!!

As above really.

Coupes are by far a cheap car to own and run, as mentioned before I have seen many coupe owners keep the car for a short time when they realise how much they eat into your pocket.

The cheapest part of getting a coupe really is buying it. My car cost me hundreds/thousands in the 10 months I owned it - would i buy another....... yes!

my bravo's been anything but cheap to run... lol i've spent nearly twice what i paid for it in fixing it/modding it... luckily most of the stuff that broke i was planning to change anyway... except my clutch(es).. lukcily i only had to pay for 1... :D yay for warranty's!

i want a nice coupe sort of car, i'm not a big fan of hatch backs, not entirely sure why i brought one... lol

was think of a few other cars, honda prelude, but they're alittle dull untill you modify them, 2.2 vtec tho so its not much slower than a 20vT..
or a 2.5v6 Ford cougar, they are slow tho, but they look nice, and sound nice.
Honda civic coupe, they really are boring, and only come in a 1.6.. and if you're lucky a 1.6 VTI.. lol
or maybe a pugeot 406 coupe, 3.0v6, they sound nice, but they're french. nuf said. lol

really would like an MR2 but my missus wont let me have a 2 seater.. lol (i think she's hinting she wants something - scarey!)
i dunno, i'm rambling now... i'll shut up.. lol

Make sure you get it HPId as well, lots of post-accident coupes out there. If there is a local specialist, try to get it checked (usually much cheaper than the AA)

As everyone says, they are expensive to run (and insure if you're young)...most reckon on budgeting a grand a year for fixing and maintenance :) Tyres are best part of a £100 each for example :)

lol i think i'll pass then... lol

i'll get a honda, they're cheap to run, just gotta service them :p

Personally i have the coupe at the moment, but i cant really find anything else that would replace the coupe without spending a serious amount of money.

the prelude isnt too much slower, if it all really, the best of its kind has the same BHP as a 20vT... tho most just have the same as the 16vT...
but then add a vtec controller and it'll zoom along nicely :D
i cant remember what they both weigh tho, but i'm guessing the coupe weighs less, cos its smaller, and a fiat... lol

i dunno, i'll probably end up with something totally different if i go to change my car anyway.
i'm funny like that... i wanted a 1.2 16v sporting punto 3 door (mk2), ended up with a 5 door 1.2 8v punto mk2... lol then i wanted an Mazda MX-3 and ended up with a mazda 323... that was nice tho, wish i never sold it.. lol

then i wanted an astra coupe, and ended up with an astra 5 door hatch... lol

then i sold that and just somehow endup with with my bravo... didnt even want one.. lol i should probably stop buying cars really...

i've been watching for a good coupe for months. also looking for a GTV. its hard to find the right one, but worth the wait. my main concern is parts, there arent many coupes sat in scrapyards, so parts arent easy to come by. that means every time you need something (which is regularly on any fiat) you'll end up buying new, which makes a massive different to costs to someone like me.

all i want is a bog standard low milage 20v non-turbo (not in yellow).
is that really so much to ask for?!

there was a nice blue or red (cant remember) 20v non turbo in the autotrader in the southwest... but it was only £1500 .. so god knows how many miles its done... lol

i've gone off the 20vT idea anyway, i did an insurance quote and nearly died... lol

i need to win the lottery, that'd solve all my car buying problems.. lol

Carl has broken 300 coupes and seems to get his hands on most write offs...has broken 3 pluses this month alone

What do you call low mileage - bear in mind ALL coupes are now 7-11 years old and performance cars do not benefit from sitting around perishing. Mine has done 84k miles and still runs really well, less than 10k miles a year (y)
