General The real name for the punto

is anyone any good at Italian?
I've heard that Punto is roughly translated to Dot or Spot.
Does this make the Grande Punto a Large Dot/Spot?
Or even shorter, the Fiat G Spot?!

According to Babel Fish , Punto translates to "Point" and Grande Punto translates to "Great Point"
