Someone said in another thread that we Fiat owners only post on here when there's something wrong with our cars and never when it's running well and we're perfectly happy with it.

So let me be the first to say, my Fiat is running very well today thank you. It took me the 35 miles to Dumfries and back earlier with no problems whatsoever, other than picking up some dust that I need to wash off tomorrow :D

Anyone else having a problem-free time with their Fiat?

Dave makes a great point. Dare I risk it?

Working well: Marea, Cinq Sporting and Spider.
Minor problem: Panda. :(
C**pped up: None of them.

In fact the Marea, apart from various bits of worn parts, has been the most reliable car I've ever owned. More reliable than the Jetta or the Golf ever were ( but I bought those second hand I suppose ).

But of course, its Italian, so it must break down all the time....

My Alfa is running great and hasn't missed a beat in the 6 months I've owned it.

My 2 Unos aren't so great one is 17 years old and the other 19 years old. Both run fine but I've got them in bits for fun :D

My Stilo running ok-ish (y)

The Ulysse - aargh........

....took it on a long run on Saturday, to London - got 20 miles down the M1, and lo and behold, the 'depollution error' message again  so looks like yet another phonecall to the dealership tomorrow, and then the problems of getting it to them, because they don't have a six or seven seater courtesy car to lend us, which Jules needs to have to do her job :(

My Punto is running perfectly, except for the Airbag warning light on the dash. But I can get that sorted under warrenty so it's all good. (y) Can't complain one bit during my 9 months of Fiat ownership, and I'm even looking at getting another Punto - JTD baby! :D

Had my Stilo Abarth for over a year now and never ever has it once let me down - no error messages, no blown bulbs, performs over and above on each and every day. (y)

Marea - chugging along perfectly well. Needs a change of suspension parts sometime but then it does have over 100k on the clock. Engine still pulling strong.

Tipo - Still got its tickover issues and seemed to be pre-detonating on Sat. but drove home fine (y) 640 miles and the only issue was a little chugging now and then when it was hot in traffic.

my punto has been great since they sorted out the warning lights and power steering, that was about 8 months ago

it reliable, practical and does 40mpg, i cant complain

am picking up a cinq on sunday so will see what happens with that :p

:)

I drove my Idea from my home in Belgium to Germany through Holland yesterday with nary a problem. Was about 750 KM/470 miles round trip. Cruised comfortablly at 165 KMH indicated, nearly 100 MPH for quite a distance.

Which brings up an interesting point. According to the safety morons, "Speed Kills". If that's true, everyone in Germany would have died long before 1980. Oddly enough, Germany has about the lowest rate per 100000KM for traffic accidents and road deaths in all of Europe.

Hell no :D She hasn't moved in a month.
At least nothing's gone wrong in that month though! :p
No real problems on the Panda - just a couple of small niggles. :)
