Hi guys and gals, Loads of info on Brake Master Cylinders for the loss of brakes on the ugg bug but after replacing that and many other little experiments it turned out that there was a leak in my rear calipar missed by the mechanics (looking to service rather than repair).
I'm out £150 on the BMS that was fine, so I negotiated a price for labour and I supplied the parts. Calipar £55 on ebay (he said £75 to supply) timing belt kit £88 with member discount thanks to this forum (he said £120 to supply) aux belt £16.
Now to recover my losses I had him do a full service (I supplied the materials) and the price came in at 150 for labour. So that's fuel, oil, cabin, and air filters, coolant and brake fluid changed. Problem is now it's ticking over a bit rough (aux belt possibly?). All in aprox 300, would anything else cause the engine to sound rough after that work?

I've looked at the work done and then checked again, possibly timing belt out by one tooth.
However, if the performance and fuel consumption are the same as before then this is unlikely.
Petrol or diesel?

Hi, it's a 115 jtd.
I wonder if the mechanic had one of his young lackies fit it, and they looked board and cold on the day in question. At low revs the engin vibrates a little move than before, the turning is a bit rougher and stopping in sort of chugs out now.
