Hi everyone..
I've recently replaced the cylinder head on my punto s60, including the thermostat.
Before this the temperature was just above the quarter and now it's on the half mark.
My question is, what the cause of this? it's because the new thermostat or maybe the it's because the slightly narrowed water passages on the skimmed head or something?
The new Thermostat is A116 87degrees BEHTR 75891350.
In Haynes It's say that The recommended Thermostat starts to open between 85-89 degrees and will fully open in 100 degrees, should I change to another type?

Thank you in advance.

Are the 82 degrees stats made for the diesel models?
