Fiat does the only right thing with the new Grande Panda.

Let's be honest.
The new Grande Panda is a bundle of nostalgia on wheels.
The retro concept that they did with the 500 in 2007 has now been extended to the Panda.
The Italians are going one step further with the Fiat Grande Panda 4×4 Concept.

This model is a nod to the Panda 4×4 from the 80s.
Isn't it great, embroidering on nostalgia.
That's something boomers get hot from.
Some of the features are the dark red body color, steel wheels that can get dirty,
extra lights on the roof rack and a spare tire.
Just in case.

The original Panda 4×4 was just as suitable for city traffic as for adventures in the mountains.
You still see them regularly driving around in Italy. Those things are indestructible.

The only downside to this modern interpretation?
The word concept.
Because that is already a giveaway that the Fiat Grande Panda 4×4 Concept will not be on display in the showroom like that.
There is also no indication that the Italian car brand will put this car into production.

Now the modifications are not groundbreaking.
That is to say, with a regular Grande Panda you can easily imitate the 4×4 Concept with a few mods.
And people are just going to do that of course.
In that respect Fiat is giving a head start with this concept.

But to be honest.
Screw a license plate on it, throw it in the price list, and let it come.
Because the original was also simply sold by Fiat in the 80s.
Roll up your sleeves and take the daring move to actually sell this concept, Fiat.
In a world full of anonymous crossovers and uniformity this is quite a nice thing, right?
