Worried by the fact you narrowed it down to the point value of days

At least it's not in hours, minutes, and seconds... yet!

When I do finally get this sodding cast off it'll be the back roads round here that will entertain me so I'll confine my stalking skills to people closer to home.

I wonder if the bloke whose Zonda got crashed has it back yet...

Googled "Zonda crash Scotland" and only real info that came up was about Sir Jackie Stewart back in 2010, presume it's not that one you're referring to. Going from talking about your stalking ways to a bloke crashing a Zonda implies you had a hand in it somewhere or maybe that's just the way I'm reading it

It's the same one but it wasn't Sir Jackie driving - we never have found out who it was though. And thankfully no I didn't have a hand in the crash :D

Course that could be a double bluff cos I'd never be welcome back to FS if I had...

Nah, the only connection is the owner lives a few miles from here and we used to see the Zonda drive through Ellon occasionally. Oh and in true stalker mode I know where his castle is and sometimes drive past there when I feel the need to take an extended route to visit my sister.

I'm also wondering if he's the one driving the Maserati I keep seeing in the village... Inquiring minds are on the case ;)

Ah so you're a supercar stalker then?

I will say this (to get it vaguely back on topic lol), there's normally a good few exotic motors in Glasgow City Centre at the weekends so there'll be a chance to get that out your system at the same time as the meet :D

Well yeah I do have some standards ;)

An fs thread on topic? Has that ever happened

Aberdeen has lots of nice motors too thanks to the over-whelming wealth of the oil industry. The only thing stopping me from becoming a full-on stalker is I'd struggle to keep up :( I do stealth stalking instead ;)

Ah, so stealth stalking meaning, jumping out of a bush (or similar hiding device) and causing a Zonda driver to take evasive action ie crash?

Plus as a "mod", I'm duty bound to keep threads relatively on topic even though I'm often an offender of it going way off

the fact we only had three last year was shocking. hense why people need to put their name down and stick to it.

Quite agree.

However it should be pointed out that last year suffered from the aftermath of the year before plus mechanical breakdown for a couple of people who had planned to be there.

Moving on though, I think this years set up is better because there is more flexibility. Whilst the majority of us will be there for the duration there is also scope for peeps with commitments elsewhere to dip in and out as suits them. After all not everyone can take an entire weekend out and joining in for a few hours is better than not turning up at all.

The other issue of course is money and close to Christmas this is always a problem. The cars will always be important but the main agenda of the Christmas bash is simply to get together and have a good time. Some of us will be travelling a good hundred miles or so to make this therefore car-sharing is definitely an option - I certainly have no problems picking up passengers on the way.

Agree with what Katie's saying.

Neither Martyn or Katie planned to have mechanical problems.
Martyn lost 99% of his brakes & Katie unfortunatley suffered a Broken Spring.

I wanted to shoot my SatNav last year as it was taking me further away from the Travelodge, in the end I decided to come in the bottom end of Perth Town Centre & blind luck got me to the Travelodge.

For Accomodation what's the preferred option.

Travelodge Glasgow Paisley Road, easy enough location for folk to get to, but your right by the M8 & M74 Offslip, foodwise there's Frankie & Bennys almost next door. Postcode G5 8RA

Or Premier Inn Glasgow (Paisley), again easy to get to. J28A of the M8, A737 then A761. Postcode PA1 2BH
Onsite Resturant Table Table

It's early days, prices may come down a bit. Course it'd probably help if people don't keep checking cos increased interest in that weekend is guaranteed to push them up :(

Andi - the initial plan was to base ourselves at the Travelodge at Braehead - at the moment it's £45 per room, per night. Shop around, you might be able to get a cheaper deal. OR do what folk have done in the past, go halfers on a room.

I may well stay with family and play the tee-total card so that driving early doors Sunday isn't an issue.

Re activities - this is still up for discussion. If there are numbers to support it I'm happy to bring some equipment and throw a Karaoke if we can find a suitable function room. Though meal + pub after is an easier alternative :)
