Only we won't ever see it in the UK.

2019 Fiat 500X, 4WD - Standard
9 Speed Auto Box - Standard
1.3 MultiAir 3 Engine giving 177BHP - Standard

The downside? The Fuel consumption

That’s going to be a severely highly strung engine.

And you’re right fuel economy is terrible 26mpg combined, its more a case of no one would buy it if it came to the U.K., Who wants a 1.3 that can only manage 26mpg

When I read "electronically managed wastegate to relieve gas pressures" it made me think it might be a grenade engine. Ridiculous power output for a small motor.

To be fair that’s pretty standard stuff, it’s how much boost it’s running and how much tweaking has taken place to get that sort of power, it may very well be at the peak of what the mass produced engine is capable of.

The poor fuel economy points to a car that has to be driven constantly at high revs to get it moving anywhere, even with all that supposed power.

Goodness. An engine built by the bastion of vehicular reliability, which is likely to run very hot, is always on high levels of turbo boost and RPM, and which is driving 4 wheels. What could possibly go wrong?

One minor defect, design weakness, or materials quality issue in the cooling system and kaboom. That's what.

This will be Fiat's EcoBoost moment. Let's hope that they at least treat customers better than Ford do. Mind you, slinging faeces at people is better than how Ford treats those stupid enough to give them money. I talk from very painful experience!

That's very similar to my 2016 AWD 1.4 multiair turbo.

26mpg US is just over 31mpg UK so not great but not too bad either

Around town, I was lucky to see mid 20s in mine! And that's without AWD...
