Technical That middle heatshield

Hey all

Alas, after having a good long run with no issues, I am back posting!
Just a quick query to all you Fiatheads out there. My trusty Stilo has developed a crazy rattle from the middle, which on inspection seems to be the exhaust heat shield. This is the shield just in front of the rear axle where the exhaust bends round. Its taken a knock and seems to be just sitting on top of the pipe now, the mounts are broken off on the shield.
Just wondering if it needs replaced? Or is it an option just to remove it entirely? (This is probably a daft question I know.)

If you can get up on and stands, you should be able to reattach it with came ties or by actually bending the metal around the mounts, u did this with mine when one end dropped down. I thought about removing it but thought it may be theft for a reason so fixed it.
