:D:D saturday well spent

Yeah looks good I like it.

You used some tyre shine?

yep 2 stripe trackie bottoms :p

the AG dressing doesn't last long unfortunately

im currently using Armour all wet look tire gel (it lasts much longer)

Lol all I can afford after spending all my money on polish and other car bits.:)

I know what you mean about the AG tyre dressing not lasting long, where can you buy the Armour stuff?

Yea I use alot of Autogylm stuff. Got the shampoo, glass polish, resin polish and need to buy some tyre dressing.

Ah good point.

Whats good to clean in the wheel arches?

Oh right cool. I got some engine cleaner which I havent even used yet.

Its ok i live in army surplus combat trousers......

It's all coming out now:p

Cheers for the links will have a look in Tesco when I go shopping.(y)

Engine bay is on my list for next week. Don't trust myself to go the pressure washer route so will get a bucket and a cloth/brush and work methodically through it with some degreaser.

then the next job is to buy a diesel undertray and fit it kep it clean.

I wouldn't go anywhere near the engine bay with a Pw...

what i do is this (take it with a pinch of salt if you must it works for me)

cold car

spray a liberal amount of water soluble degreaser such as Muc-Off or Surfex HD

(muc-off from bike section in hellfrauds £6-7 for a ltr spray bottle or Surfex from Bilt hamber ((yes i know me plugging bilt hamber again  ))

all over everything

use a combination of small paint brushes and cloths to work well in every nook and cranny

(dont soak any plugs with it)

next start the car

whilst running the engine use a watering can with a fine rose or hose with a shower type spray gun to rinse,

clean the under side of the bonnet with APC

next whilst still wet bath everything (bar the bonnet) with Autogylm Vinyl and Rubber Care

shut the bonnet and leave the engine running for half an hour to an hour to allow it to "cook"

then you get this

Looks good, any polish on the underside of the bonnet or the inner wings?

Dunno why your dipstick is red and mine is blue lol random.

Do you leave it idling for 30 mins or take it out for a drive?

well a polish and wax cant do any harm but i normally CBA....

I want a blue Dipstick

you could take it for a drive but i normally do my car on a Sunday after a Saturday night bender so taking it out isn't a sensible option.....
