General Test Tracks

My self and my uncle who drives an RX8 are looking to try and find a test track or airfield to go and have a play, and ultimately for him to get his butt kicked by my coop in a straight line drag race! I was wondering if any one knew of any areas in either the manchester or leeds area, or anywhere that is in decent driving distance??

There is elvington airstrip near york

there's TY croes does track days here in North Wales, however I'm sure there's loads in the m'cr/leeds area too. However I'd go on a track day to build confidence first, before going out and out screwing it around a track.
