My 1987 1000cc is bit slow when accelerating from idle.
I want to check if acceleration pump is working.

Is it possible to check without opening up carb?

If i take airfilter off and pull trottle cable should i see a sqirt of fuell when looking inside carb?

I dont want to open carb before i have a rebuild kit on my work bench as i need car for a road trip soon

Thanks I will check it, i assume it will squirt fuell also when engine is not running (when bowl is full)

Replaced vacuum advance unit last year. That did improve riding.

Did last weekend readjust ideale mixture screw. Running also bit better.

Still have to check filter mesh on carb fuel inlet

Side question:
Seams a breather hose is missing.
Where should it connect to (on engine ?)

it goes right here, on this side of the back of the carb. with the engine running it pulls a very slow slight vacuum.

yes if the fuel bowl is full the pump will spray with the engine off. in the photo the lever between the yellow arrow and yellow circle is the lever that makes the acceleration pump spray if you push it downward.

if you have the engine ticking over and you open the throttle quickly, does the engine stall or almost stall? thats a good way to tell if its not working.
