I just had my cambelt changed to my 1.4sx, the guys at garage said they didnt change the tensioner as it looked ok... do you think that is strange? Is it easy to check yourself the condition of it?
That's utterly moronic! Even if there was only 20K on the tensioner it's never worth putting the old one back. Tensioner cost £20. Cost in engine damage if it packs up £1000 plus. Hmmmm ! Shall I take the risk? Yeah why not! Duh!
