tel mute on stereo help

on the wires to me stereo it has a brown wire with a tel mute sticker on it, this is supposed to mute the stereo when my mobile rings, does any one have the slightest idea of where the hell it connects?

do i need some kinda recieving device? i just dont get how it works,

on the back of the stereo there are 2 pre outs and this one brown wire left alone,

As far as I know it connects into the permanent install hands-free kits, the ones with the speaker in the passenger footwell, and a mic in the head lining.

yeah, if u have a propper telephone kit, not one of those cheap £10 universal things, it is wired into that so whilsy you are using the phone the stereo is on mute.
