I have a Fiat Ducato Multijet 180 used as an Euromobil camper. After approx. 41,000km and about 3 years old the problems started with the engine emergeny light on. First The solenoid valve had to be replaced. After about 6,000km it needed a new turbo charger. After replacing the turbo, the engine light was still on. Diagnostics told the technician, it needed a new ECU. You think after this the trouble would be over. Unfortunately the engine light came on again in mid flight so to speak, doing about 100k/h on the straight. Diagnostics said it was de DPF. In the garage they told me an forced re-gen was needed and hopefully the engine light would disappear. O no it is still there. Now it seems the DPF is so over-clogged, it will not do a re-gen, not even a forced one.
Fiat New Zealand does not want to know the unit. It is a grey import, they say.
Does anybody know the email address of the Technical Department of Fiat, where those Ducatos are built?
It already has cost more than 4500.00 Euros sofar. new DPF would set me back another 2,500 Euros.
It is a 2012 Fiat Ducato, hence not an oldie at all.
Anybody please.
Thanks.
Regards,
Eb W.
