TBM usually refers to the Battery Management Module / auxiliary battery system. It’s normally a small secondary battery, often located in the boot or engine bay depending on the car. It doesn’t have a fixed 5-year replacement rule; some last longer, some don’t. If you’re not getting warning lights or electrical issues, it’s usually fine to leave it, but worth testing during a service.
