Panda Tappets check and adjustment

Hi all, I have joined this site on behalf of a friend who does not have internet access. he has just purchased a 2010 Panda 1.1 active eco. he wants to know how to check and adjust the tappets. It has 14,000 miles on the clock so it will be it's first service and he reckons they will need slight adjustment as they would have bedded in. Please don't ridicule my ignorance , I am not mechanically minded. Any advice will be much appreciated.

they are shims n buckets they wont need even looking at at only 14k wait another 10k miles

Hi,
probably easiest is to SEARCH for valve clearances.
or have a look in the Panda / Punto GUIDES section,

as stated by Dave , they are extremely well engineered , robust engines, (designed in @1980)
some will never move in 100K miles,

Charlie 1.1 owner - currently @ 70 K miles - never needed adjustment.
