Technical tappet sound

is it normal to have a tiny bit of tappet/ticking sound on tickover?...

also- does the 500 dash remind you when the oil needs topping up?

my last megane used to flash up 'top up oil' in the instrument panel-

i have the 1.2.....

i liked this feature on the megane- before anyone says 'open the bonnet and see!'

Manually adjustable valve clearances on the 1.2 so possibly might need adjusting.

Also, the most likely response (luckily I got here first, lol.) would most likely tell you to refer to the handbook using a four letter acronym.

No idea regarding the low oil warning I'm afraid as I find my level rises as opposed to drop.

thanks!!!...its only a very slight sound...so maybe im hearing things...ive looked at the RTFM...im just gonna have to look again!

The 500 has a system called a dipstick which reminds you when to fill it up
