General Taking out rear seats - advice please!

Hi All

I am looking for advice and piccies please. I am thinking about removing my rear seats as firstly I dont use them and secondly I need more space for my dog. Has anyone got any advice and/or pictures of what you have done?!

use 1/2" drive socketry with a 450 or 600mm breaker bar and take your time. Makesure you have something to fill the holes in the arches after you've taken the seats out. I found that the stock bolts get way to close to the rear tyres.

Oh just re-read, we know how to take the seats out, but I want to see what kinds of set ups ppl have to make the rear usable as a MASSIVE boot rather than all metal!

Alex had a 'floor' made from wood covered in material in his turbo Cinq. Not sure if it was home made or not but shouldn't be too difficult to do .

Yeah thats what Adz has. His is made from our old TV cabinet! But it want something different! And it will have to have a sectioned out bit where the dog's crate can sit securely.....! Its looking like im going to have to go with the wood and carpet job isnt it!

ah,well all you need to do is make a wooden base in MDF.
then you can mount anything onto this base.
i used the boot mat as a template

I have texted my neighbour to see if they have any spare MDF/Wood as they have just fitted a new kitchen! Other than that I have a box of lamiate flooring spare upstairs LOL

mdf's cheap as chips.you only need 1 decent sized board

Oops The reflections on it made it look kinda silvery and cuboid-ish when I glanced at it yesterday....you get the idea though

have you run out of money? seem determined not to pay anymoney.
remember mdf is fairly light and any weight you put in the car you have to pay petrol to haul around
dont scrimp on fitting with odds and ends.this needs to be well fitted and secure unless you want a dog plus floor flying forward in a crash
