General Switch in centre ash tray ??

I recently purchased a 2005 Fiat Ducato based Winnebago Motorhome and am fixing a number of issues it came with...
One is a broken ash tray and when I removed it I find a small "red" push button switch behind it which protrudes into the ash tray through a hole in the back??
What is this for?
I also have had problems removing the housing around it even after removing all the screws, ready to fit a new one which I have ordered.

You should locate the previous owner and ask what the function is/was.
I also installed a switch in an awkward place. It activates the LCD screen of the radio to show the signal from the rear camera.

Suffice to say it's not a Fiat/OEM switch. Could be one of many things - there's at least four switches that I've added which only I know what they do.

Good luck in working out what the push button thingy does - sorry can't be of more help.

This will not be a Fiat switch. Either Winnebago fitted it, or a previous owner. Is there a Winnebago handbook to cover the 'home' part of the motorhome?
