i have a standard a mint renault 5 gt turbo and a guy wants to do a swap for his mint mk2 uno turbo which is also standard

i know you may be biasd but isit worth it? how reliable is the uno turbo when it comes to tuning i know you can get a quick 180bhp from the r5 with uprated headgasket intercooler and a bigger turbo.

what about the uno?
 
this is a tough one 'cus i love the 5's but to be honest you can get the same power if not a little more out of the uno.
people say the renualt are not that reliable but my mums boyfriend had one when they were new and he had very little trouble with it.

i know for a fact that i'd have either but i've had two uno turbo's and they have been ultra reliable in fact much more reliable than a punto gt i replaced them with.

i think the uno is faster, but that's just my opinion and i bet that could start a debate on it's own.

i'd hate to be in your shoe's,but then i would like to have both.lol
 
sorry but your escort is more chav than ive managed in my whole life,more so given you try to make it sound better in your sig

it wasnt bought to drive, it was bought to play with and sell on for profit.

if its been made in a xr3i then i dont see the problem, its not like i have put in my sig 'escort cosworth' nor do i have escort cosworth badges on the back of the car.

If you feel like a change, and his is as genuinly mint as your 5... then go for it.

as for the decision above then i reckon theres not much in it and only you can decide, depends on how attached yu are to your 5:)

you know your car is mint.....i would thorough check the other car out too, and in the case of an uno, any uno being declared as mint, really go to town. even the gooduns can be a horror story underneath

Keep the R5, if it's such a nice and original example I'd keep it. I've always wanted one from being kid but it's hard to find a nice example that hasn't been chavved or ragged in anyway.
Some mods and tuning on the R5 but keep the standard look is what I'd do.


I love fiats...and other Italian cars. Just love R5 Turbos.
Personally I'd tune that up and keep it.
