Who the hell allowed that **** Heskey on? He should NEVER be allowed near an England shirt again. He lost the ball EVERY time, did nothing and commited the pointless foul that lead to the equaliser He Is **** and always has been! Sven - that was your fault.

he used to play for us. Martin O'neil was the only one who could see talent in Heskey. Luckily both have left us.

IMO, Heskey is the most clumsy player you'll ever come across, what with falling over half the time and/or blasting the ball in any general direction.

Yep, your right about Heskey. But.. I want to take you back in the game! Yes, back to Beckam's penalty. Bartez played with Becks for a long time. He would have known Beck's body language backwards. Watching the game it was obvious which way Becks was going to kick. Sven should have talked about that before the game, as Bartez quite clearly knew what Becks was going to do. If he had scored, the game would have been over. Cest la vie.

I can see the sense in bringing Hesky on. Rooney was going to get booked at some point and I think he wanted to take him off to prevent this. Michael Owen did not have any service and a srriker is only as good as his service. Rooney last night was attempting to be the 'tarket' man for england for the long balls. He was not ver good at this at all in my opinion and didn't win the ball on many occasions. We brought Hesky on and I think he won every header up there apart from one. We only didn't capitalise on this because our midfield was holding back. Scholes was brought off because we had no left wing and when he did wander over to his position he didn't know what to do with the ball.

With all that said Hesky and Gerrard did make massive mistakes, but if ZZ wasn't on the pitch then we probably would have won.;

My opinion is that there was 2 minstakes and 2 reasons why ZZ is the best player in the world. I dont think Sven should be blamed, he had the game technically won. You just cant do anything against that type of free kick.

Heskey had 5 balls fed to him and lost every one. He then made that stupid high footed attempt to get the ball of ZZ from behind - 5 yards outside the penalty box with two of our defenders coming out at ZZ. The man is a liability, always has been and always will be.
I would have brought on Hargreaves and left Scholes on (taken off Rooney) pack the midfield then pass the ball around and frustrate them for the final period - make THEM do the lunging tackles.
