Ok people, my manifold is in need of replacing as it is blowing, i have been quoted £135 to get a new (standard) one and have it fitted, however i was wondering whether to get a supersprint one instead.
Firstly are these supersprint manifolds anygood?
And are there any places that sell them cheaper than what i have found for 200 quid (OUCH)?

Any advice and places to get one would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks

Th supersprint manifolds are good and well proven there is a but however as with everthing in life.

Little point fitting one if your car is std hasn't got a free flowing exhaust or if don't plan to tweak the performance in the future. If you don't plan other things then get to the scrappy and get yourself a std one for a lot less than £135

You will need a custom cat section (or decat) but this can be made by cutting down the front pipe cat section, or you can buy a sports cat (or fit a decat pipe)

You have to ensure it is fitted correctly (spring joints and or flexi's) otherwise they can crack

If you are running a std airbox then there is nowhere for the warm air pickup

Depending how lucky you are somepeople haven't been able to get them in place without removing the radiator (i manged without)

oh and yes they cost a bomb unless you can pick one up second hand and even then they are not cheap

on its own you won't notice a huge performance jump but with other carefully chosen mods they are worth it. The 4-2-1 design gives a balance between torque and power, where other systems tend to be 4-1, these are good for power gains at the expense of torque

Cheers for all the replies, it sounds like a bit of a ball ache to fit the aftermarket ones so ill probably just save some cash and go standard.
