Might be an idea to move this to the punto section you'll get better answers there, from punto owners

also try using the search button up there ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ i'm sure this has already been asked by someone before posts might be helpful :D

Welcome to the Forum btw :D:D(y)(y)

superchip the mk2 sporting? the mk2 isnt listed for a superchip because its a newer type ecu with eeprom, but the mk1 85bhp unit (basically same engine) states a 4bhp gain so that gives anidea of the possible gains.

you can remap the standard ecu. a remap will cost approx £200 (less than superchip and does same thing) and should give about 3-4bhp peak gain on a good day.

the difference will not be very noticable, end of the day you need to change a lot more than the map to get a real improvement. it will pull better through the rev range, but dont expect a big difference.

when driving a mk2 sporting (mk GF's got one) it feels like a cam kit is needed before any real gains can be had, along with a full exhaust and decent induction kit to allow better air flow to be taken advantage of (allowing a fast road cam to work well). you'd then need a remap to sort out the ignition and injection after those mods. you may be able to get close to the 100bhp mark with a bit of luck. the cost will mean you'd be better off buying an HGT, as always the cheapest and best perfomance mod is to buy a faster car.

As Jug said, trying to chip an MK2 sporting is not a good idea, it wont give you much and it will make the engine run harder and cause problems.

For true BHP gains get a GSR induction kit, and a Supersprint Exhaust to start and a ECU remap.
