did any one watch this last night?
i watched it, n me n some of my mates @ uni were talking about it today, you see, the thing is, it actually made the full thing look very easy.
IMO it in a strange sense actually encouraged crash dieting, so much so ive not stopped thinking about losing wieght since i watched it. they gave tips n advice n hardly showed any extreme negative side effects. surely they should have been showing just how " bad" this is. But truely it wanst . im more than well aware - infact probably to aware of the problems this can cause. but they just didnt address this!
My problem is now i wanna do the lemonade diet, i wanna lose 5 dress sizes in 5 weeks. i wanna be a size 00. most of the time have my head skrewed on, n my mates are all psycholgy students like me. If this programme had this effect on us, what did it do to the young and easily led pop star wanna be teens wha are already so heavily influenced by the media.
rant over.......im off for some lemonade.
"""A new controversial Channel 4 show ‘Super-Skinny Me: The Race to Size Zero’ has caused outrage by challenging women to crash diet to a size zero.
The documentary is aiming to be the opposite of Morgan Spurlock’s documentary film ‘Super Size Me’ during which Spurlock spent 30 days just eating McDonalds.
For the new documentary female guinea pigs will be employing extreme weight loss programmes to drop several dress sizes.
A Channel 4 spokesman has said: "This is a shock doc with a real sense of purpose,"
"It provides the perfect opportunity to debunk the current clamour for all things super-skinny.”
It is hoped that the documentary will explore the dangers of dropping to a low weight emulated by celebrities like Nicole Richie and Victoria Beckham; the show will be broadcast next year.
