Basically i found a wet patch appear on the drivers side in the top corner, normally where the ultrasonics of a car alarm go.

Ok i took the roof lining out so i can find the leak. I poured water over the sunroof and i sat inside the car watched for drips. After a while a small drip apppeared from what looked like the corner of the sunroof unit, theres also a pilot hole further up and its leaking from there.

The leak doesn't come from the drainage hole as its not blocked, so i opened the sunroof and poured water into the gutter on the drivers side and the water rushed round and drained off, however because of the flow of water was continuous, it started to leak from these points quite quickly, fast drips. I have replaced the sunroof seal about 8 months ago so it cant be that.

I really am stumped for ideas, it doesn't over flow because water would drip from a certain point on the sunroof, so any ideas and suggestions would be great.

Thanks Joske

I could do with some info on this aswell. I have what seems is a damp patch in the same corner.

My car is still under warranty, would this be covered if it was a leak. When I bought it it only had two marks which looked like glue. Car had recently been steam cleaned in the garage so the could've been trying to cover it up.

Now it looks like a patch of water marks, How do I test to see if it is an actual leak?

Thanks

Re: Re: Sunroof Leaking

Your warranty should cover a faulty sunroof. AS for me my cars out of warranty. Hope you get your sunroof sorted.
