Styling sun strips

im thinking of getting a sun strip but after a bit of research i have read that it will fail MOT if the wipers go onto it. could someone please give me some advice on the legalities of this.

Depends on the MOT tester tbh, i had a sunstrip on my old punto that the wipers went a good 30mm onto it and that passed fine, but its meant to fail after 10mm iirc but some other MOT testers will fail just because you have a sticker on the windscreen

Yeah thats what i did, afterall its not exactly expensive and hard to fit one lol

My other halfs brother had a sunstrip to half way down his windscreen although it was a light tint film but he never had any problems with mots or being pulled over

I have on thats black and its 25mm down the windscreen and I've yet to have any problems with the law or mot testers (touch wood) beware if buying from eBay though as the real cheapo ones are crappy quality and are a bi*ch to fit and always a pain to get rid of air bubbles

sorry meant 25cm lol good luck tho btw there an ass to get looking nice plenty of soapy water and a very sharp stanley blade or a hobby knife and a decent quality velvet edged squeegee will serve u well
