Hi, does anyone know the thread size of the sumpl plug from a 98 bravo 1.8? Cuz my sump plug is worn away and rounded, so the 8mm allen key doesn't undo it. So i will need to hammer + chisel it off, but i need 2 get the replacement plug before i do this, otherwise i won't be able 2 drive round. I need to know the size cuz i can make one at work, hence why i haven't just brought one from fiat.

thanks

go to a scrap yard and buy one. get a dremmel put a cutting piece make a slot in it and put in a screw driver and use that saves more damage than doin it with a hammer and chisel.

chisels, hammers, screwdrivers, dremels amateur cowboys.

this is what u do - weld a large nut, preferably one you have a large ring spanner/socket for, onto the outside of the plug. my local garge did this for me for nothing. then loosen with spanner or socket. this is the only way you will get the old plug out. believe me I know as my car had this problem. put new plug in with lots of grease on threads.

my local mech used a chisel and hammer and it worked, but unless you have a pit i would not attempt it this way as the car does a lot of rocking and we dont want it to fall on you do we?

get new sump plug and washer and get local garage to sort it out.
