Well noticed the other week that the faux chrome trim was loosing its chrome under the clear coat however that happened :bang:
Anyhow i tried my VAST collection of cleaners / polishes / rubbing compounds even some very gentle wet sanding and nothing worked it was under the clear coat but was worth a try......
Balanced with trying to get a warranty replacement if past experience is anything to go by cosmetics like this arnt covered past 12 months on the warranty
So i got rather bored and it was annoying me......
anyhow i worked out how the trim was fitted with my fibre optic camera and managed to spot the screws before i did the usual grab and yank.... Snap method ...
I removed the bumper as per the guides in the guide section

Once the bumper was off the 4 screws were accessible
so removed them and carefully unclipped the clips and got the trim off...
used an 8mm spanner to remove the FIAT badge
then set to work with some p1500 wet and dry paper and rubbed up the trim to key it for primer......
cleaned with Panel prep to degrease
and got the Rattle cans out...
Primed
Black plastic paint...
Then gave it a bit of drying time before clear coating it.....
and refitted once dry
