Any1 have an idea to whats happening here? My sub has been working since i got it a few months ago, but it dont want to work anymore, i checked the cables running to the amp, and the connection for the earth was slightly loose (thought this would probably explain why the sub was intermitantly cutting out) so tightened the contact up again and now it does not play at all, checked the earth contact to the car and that is fine, as are all the other connections to the amp, and the fuses are all fine. could it be a knackered amp?

Could be the amp, or even the head unit! Your Aux outs on the back of the head unit could be gone, cutting out etc is one of the signs of that prob. that is what happened to mine!!

Although mine hasn't stopped working, i get a nasty low rumble sound all the time, as well as some nice feed back! HAve changed the amp and the test the sub out on another system! I am only guessing but it is something to try!

:D

has ur amp got any lights on it, to signal that its on????

plus is the amp running any other things like speakers or that, maybe the amp has switched itself off automaticaly, maybe a fuse o your amp had blew there lots of things that could have went wrong.

Also check your remote wire this happenened with me my romote wire was under my back seat and was cutting off because of the weight on the wire.

what amp n sub you running?

Its sorted now, once i had tightened up the earths again, i turned the car off for a while, and later when i started up it worked fine. Has been since i did it.

I got a jbl 1000W 12" and a 400W JBL GTO amp.
