sub cuting out

for a few weeks now ive noticed a lack of bass everynow ane then. Then it wud come back then go again. Now just been playin with the setings on the sub and it did this a few times. I noticed the on lights goes of for a while then comes back on again.

Anyone have any ideas?

sounds like your crappy fli is broken

but other than it being broken, check the power and earth cables, and re-earth it.

but it does sound like its over heating, then cutting out to protect it, then coming back on.

Working the amp too hard whether its through too low an impedance, insufficient cooling...there a few ways you can cause an amp to overheat.
