Styling stupid sideskirt problem!

every time i get in and out of my uno i always catch the side skirt with my size 10 timberlands and almost rip it off every time,

is there supposed to be something there to stop this from happening???

you are not alone! i've 2 drivers side side skirts in the shed with huge chunks out of them just where my boot would swing over the sill.

i'm thinking along the lines of heavy duty vinyl wrapped over it across the sill and under the carpet, with a kick plate over the top to provide some protection....maybe

mate, i had the same on the mk2 skirts too! well actually, not me, its the passenger side from bloody women catching their bloody heals on my side skirts and chipping loads of bits off it!

stupid design for them really.. done it on the turbo and on the 70sx when I had it. dont think theres reallyanyway to avoid it becuase of where the skirt joins.

LOL oh my god i thought i was alone when i had this problem hehe Yeh i remember my foot used to catch the skirt all the time before i got my hormann kit. All you can do really learn to get into the habit of lifting your leg higher as bushboy suggested, the only problem is even if you get used to doing this other people dont and they will tend to catch the sideskirt too.

I used to have exactly the same problem with the sideskirts when I had a Citroen AX GT (forgive my bad language).

Perhaps a stainless steel kickplate over the top of it would help like in some more upmarket cars?

Or as Bushboy said, lift your leg higher (ooooer!)

Tight skirts are fine, just check their footwear before you let them near the car
