Stupid NOS question

Now, this is going to sound really really daft but I am going to ask it anyway.

When using NOS, do you use it when you are in fifth gear or can you use it through out the gear range.

I thought if you used it in the lower gears you would fu^& your gear box up.

Am I right?

Please answer my dumb question

no you can use nos in any gear, though it's best not to use it in first

There is little point in using Nitrous in 5th gear anyway as the gearing in 5th is so high. It just wastes nitrous basicaly and dosent pull the car forward like it would in 1st through to 4th.

Oh and if you buy a nitrous controller you can use nitrous in 1st with out making the wheels spin but they are expensive.

put it in neutrel and do it and as asoon as its done select the appropriate gear

use nitrous

use nos at any gear avoiding the first one.
i use nos since 1999
according to you engine modifications use it from 12 to 30 seconds and from 2500 to 6000 rpm
better use acralite pistons, total seal rings and retard 2 degrees for every 50 HP of nitrous
for your own good

what i've answered you realy works for 5 years and 50.000 km in my car
