stuck on cinq boot install

hi every1 just got 2 10" boss subs and an amp going to do a boot install in my cinq just not to sure wot look to go with since there is so little space if any1 has pic's of there install please post them could do with a few ideas

There's plenty of space in a cinq boot..........unless you want space to carry stuff or get at the spare fairly easily

ive always liked the idea of 1 sub either end facing each other with the amp mounted in the centre (would possibly mean custom boxes though).

could possibly put a false floor over it so you still have some space left.

Problem is, they can be expensive and they may be the wrong volume for your sub

Of course, it depends on what fabrication skills you've got, whether you want access to the spare etc.

That would give you the space to use the wheel well as an enclosure. Some people integrate their spare into their install as a sort of focal point, especially if they have a nice set of alloys and have a fifth as a spare

If it did drive around without a spare, you'd have to make sure you got a can of tyre weld or similar...........but its usless if a tyre gets ripped

Easy You get a problem if you want to fit other stuff such as shopping in the boot and want to get at the spare wheel!

Thats how i'd do it too.

Put the amp on a false floor over the spare wheel so you can still get to it.

Or put an alloy spare in and mount the amp onto a piece of thick perspex

have you thought of putting them onto your shelf. i have a 1200w sub on my parcel shelf in my marea weekend,and it sounds quite good to say there is no bass box on it.the whole boot space acts as a bass box. have a look on my gallery

Unless you have a free air sub I wouldn't recommend this. Not at all You won't get the most from the sub and you may cause premature wear doing this Also there's the question of rigidity. I know my enclosure can take 13 stone in weight, cos I tried it Its a strong structure. Might not be the same case with a parcel shelf based install. There's also the question of security - it may be a big 'nick me' sign
