Tuning Strut braces

Hi all,
Im looking to fit a strut to my '05 barchetta.
Does anyone have any ideas as to which is best?

oh... so many to choose from . I assume you could use the ABS version on the Non-ABS models though since its only the shape that will be different.

HI

Checked and all strut braces should fit as the engine bay has not changed since there start in 96. Was actualy unaware they did Barchettas with out ABS.. Learn something new. The Barchetta has very few changes since it's launch. Only changes are cosmetic. Engines still the same.

But for £5 difference I would go with the ABS one. I have one and it does help the car some what, when going roud round about you lean on the side the car leans most, so this does help with body role. But Stiffening would be best 1st.

Nino... Yep quite a few of the early ones didn't have it I believe it was an option back in the day?

Used to have an OMP strutbrace on my old Alfa and was very happy with the quality, but just fitted a Momo Corse to my Seicento and it's excellent.
The Momo is really well made and well finished. They do make a hell of a difference.

I have the roll bars and they look superb (Got them off E-Bay) Hard to fit!!

Also they don't fit the seats exactly, I have checked several and there all the same.

err... Nice nino, but, don't Anti Roll Bars go on the steering/suspention... (unless thats what Oz means).

the barchetta has ARB already (don't they), not sure if the uprated ones go under the car or you just get thicker ones to replace the standard one. Might want to think about polyeurothene bushes as well, will make the car tighter. I think the punto GT kit costs abou £70 for all the bushes you need.

Im looking at fitting a strut brace to my sei too cheers.
I was actually talking about the ones for under the car, but im looking at putting the hoops on sometime soon, but for now its the steering/ suspension anti-roll bars.

yep not sure anything that fits the punto should fit the barchetta. I think the front suspention is the same.

however ive been hunting around and cant seem to find the strut for the abs model. does anyone know which one exactly it is?

These are available from MOMO (red) , OMP (yellow), and Sparco (blue or chrome), for approximately £50.

Do a google search.

Mine is chrome from Sparco. Cost £35 from E-Bay.

Whats the issue with the ABS, is the resovior/control unit in the way?

being honest, I did not realise and bought a non ABS one, it fitted fine, mine is a 02 plate so the same car as yours.

Im guessing yes that there is ment to be something in the way but dont no what exactly.

Trust me, mine has ABS, I was not aware of the difference and bought a none ABS from EBAY, it fitted fine.

Thats what I mean... you'd have found out if it was different when it didn't fit, but it did fit, so there is no problem
