Hello, my Multipla is struggling with hills and speed. It has dropped into 'limp mode' a few times and seems to be getting worse steadily. the ' system Injection failure' warning light is on all the time but mechanic has run diognostics and not found anything. we're really reliant on it and not too well off right now. Can anyone help, please??

I had a friend's Multipla a few months back to sort out as it also had problems with lack of power and the 'see dealer' warning light come on. It also went into limp mode.

Turned out the turbo boost pipe had come off and simply needed a new clip to secure it back on again. Then again, I would have thought the dealer you took it to would have located that as it also comes up as a fault code when diagnostics are carried out

Mate's car was a 1.9 JTD by the way.

Check the turbo and boost pipe!

Thank you-I: will get the turbo and boost pipe checked!

Make sure brake light switch is adjusted correctly, if ecu thinks is pressed will cut off fuel.

This might seem a bit bit odd, but does your Multipla have a sunroof? If so, have a look at the replies to the post "leak from hatch in roof" (by Lucia).
My Multipla, although a diesel, had similar problems with the engine management and other warning lights for a long time. Various experts advised changing lots of different things, some of which I did, but to no avail.
Turns out that the problem appears to have been caused by damp in the wiring from water leaking into the panels through the 2 sunroofs. About a week after fixing this with sealant (see the post - DIY cost about £4), the engine management light faults 'cured themselves' as the panels dried out.
To date, the faults have not recurred.
Worth a try.
