would striping out my 1.4 12v make any difference to performance and if so how much would it reduce my ie 0-60 time? what should i remove from the car?

Rear seats!! Well the back part.. the bit u sit on isn't that heavy.

The passenger seat... spare wheel & tools....

Loose change from the ash tray.... hub caps

rear window wiper and motor....

parcel shelf, carpets, rear pannels.... dust caps too :)

Anything you don't need basically!!!

I stripped out my Skoda totally.. and reduced the 0-60 by almost 3secs!!!!!

I stripped my whole car from the rear seats (including them) backwards, door cards, seat belts, platic trim etc and spare wheel. Did it as I was sound deadening the lot. Out of curiosity I weighed some of the parts and you could remove 50-60kg of weight.

You will need to consider sound deadening as well if you are just going to remove the parts and not put anything back in as the road noise is painful when your car turns in to a hollow metal shell. Plus you will end up with some holes as you remove bolts and clips etc where you can actually see the road underneath.

the road noise is ok... its the ice that forms on the inside during winter!!!

My car was freeeeeeeezing with no interior!!!

How about just fitting NOS :)

would it make like seconds differance of points of seconds, does it look good striped out?

you want something light an fast then get a motorbike.

60kg be honest with yourself its nothin

I recommend fitting NOS :) but its a bit more expensive then ripping all the interior of your car out.

60kg isn't a lot you're right. Also it made the ass of my car sit high as the srpings weren't holding up as much weight.

While my interior is out I am also respraying it so it's still noisy at the moment. The good news is I can now reach the NOS bottle from the drivers seat as I have no rear seats in the way :)

when i helped ash out i took my install out and noticed a difference in performance, deffinately brought the old girls spirits up.

then i stripped all my interior out bar a bit of the dash and drivers seat to re run all my stereo wireing and it was a bit quicker and more spirietd, and the noise wasnt too bad at all

quite liked the fact that noone could ponse a lift either so i could go and have some fun :)

It makes no sense whatsoever.

If you want a faster car, but one with more bhp!
